GENTLEMAN-LIKE & SWEET
This is one trait that Avan can proudly say that he has inherited from his father. Unlike most first born children, Avan hardly took his father's side in anything. He was more like his mother in everything, except for becoming a sweet gentleman. His father had always taught him that if he wanted to marry or have any type of good, strong relationship with a woman, or even to get on a girl's good side at school, it was important to please and help. A few of the rules that he had learned from his father was that a gentleman was to always hold the door open for a lady, no matter if she had a beau already or not. It was just the proper thing to do. If an elderly wizard needed help crossing the street, it was always nice to lend a helping hand. If a wizard, whether it be male, female or child, if a wizard was in harms way, by any means it was his duty to help and protect them. It was just polite and always the right thing to do. If Avan was out on a date, he would pull the chair out for the lady, hand her a napkin off the table and offer her anything off the menu. It was only proper of course. His father had taught him many valuable life lessons that he would forever be grateful for. And being a gentleman and utter sweetheart is most certainly one of them.

CHARMING, WITTY & SEDUCTIVE
These are three subtle traits that Avan has taken from his mother's side. She was the one to seduce his father with her charm and witty remarks. When telling the story of how his parents got together, Avan sees those traits of his in his mother remarkably well. In fact, One year at school, Avan was with a girl that he didn't really know but he wanted to get to know her better. Unfortunately, being the male that he was at the time he thought the only way to get to know her was by seducing her into a date of sorts. In that event, he used witty remarks to make her laugh, turned up the charm by opening doors for her and winking every so often and sealed the deal by carrying her books to her next class. This snagged him the date and a little more than he had anticipated. She was a nut. Unlike his mother though, Avan's behavior has gotten him into some trouble along the way. His mother would always reassure him that they were just the wrong girls and that his gift would soon offer him something grand. So, in the end, the gift of seduction, charm and wit had always come from his mother's side.

LOYAL AND FRIENDLY
The one thing that has always stuck with Avan, no matter who's side of the family he got it from was to be loyal to his friends and accept people with open arms. It's a new time now and people are more friendly than ever. Avan's been noticing this and has become more friendly himself. He's the type of boy to say hello to a random stranger on the street or start up a conversation with the new first years on the train ride back to Hogwarts. Sometimes he'll even call his father at the Ministry just to see which new secretary would answer so he could spark up that random conversation. It was like an adrenaline rush for Avan. But he was always very friendly. When he was a child, he would run off with an older wizard just because they looked like a nice person. His mother had to keep him on a leash at times just not to lose the little tot. When it comes to friends and family, Avan will defend until he takes his last breath. One thing that he cannot stand for is someone threatening, making fun of or hurting any of his close friends or family members. He will fight who ever off and make them regret picking on his dear ones. There has not been a day where someone has called Avan, unfaithful, disloyal or unfriendly.

INTELLIGENT AND HARDWORKING
Intelligence has been something Avan has heard about his whole life. It was something he hated and yet something that he embraced warmly. Why did he hate the fact that he was smart? Well, when his sister was born, she was always competing with Avan in everything that had to do with academics. She learned to read earlier than he, she learned her math before he did but by the time she was accepted into Hogwarts, she was no longer the "prodigy" like Avan was. He was always thought highly of when he would bring home Outstandings to his parents... but the thing he hated the most was the fact that they would always tell his younger siblings to be more like Avan, to be smart like Avan, to be this, to be that like Avan. He disliked the fact that he was always looked up to, but his siblings were always told they needed to be better. Other than that, he adored the grades he was getting and the fact that he was living up to the Ravenclaw name. Another thing about Avan is that his grades didn't just come to him in a secret envelope over night. No, he worked hard to achieve them. Late nights of missing out on desert for a study session to ace that next exam in class, no friends on the weekends or Hogsmeade trips just so he could study to hand in his assignments on time or early. If there was ever a more hardworking student than Avan that had attended Hogwarts, it would be Hermione Granger, James, Lily and Albus's mother. As of right now, however, Avan is climbing the ladder of success just like Hermione Granger did in her time here at this magnificent school.

HISTORY:
BEFORE HOGWARTS
Before his years at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, Avan lived a fairly normal life. Well, normal being that your parents knowing the ins and outs of magic and growing up around it. Yes, it was obvious that Avan's parents were wizards and it was also apparent that Avan himself was a wizard.

Avan was born January 21rst to Su and Michael Corner. He was their first child and for the longest time he was the center of their world. He was spoiled rotten and showered with gifts until his siblings came along. For a one year old it really didn't phase him. He knew that his parents loved him as much as they loved his siblings. As Avan grew older he started learning things a lot more quickly than the average child wizard his age. The first sign he had that he could do things without moving them, the first sign of magic was when he was only five. This was barely an age where most children even grasp the concept of magic.

As he started to develop these odd abilities, his siblings starting becoming more and more temperamental toward him. They would always try and outsmart him, always try and tell him that he would never be good enough for anything and that he was just a test run for their parents. Of course, Avan's parents always denied such things. There was always something inside him, however, that told him he was just a test run, that he would always be second best to his ssiblings. That's when he got his letter to Hogwarts and that's when he started to excel.

HOGWARTS YEARS
When Avan was admitted into Hogwarts the one thing he was looking forward to the most was the sorting ceremony. He remembered staying up late at night talking to his father about what house he might get into. You see, Michael Corner was a Ravenclaw Alumni, whereas his mother was a Slytherin. So, his father had to reassure him that both houses were great and not like what they used to be when he was back in school. You see, back in 1991 through 1998, Ravenclaw was the studious type of house, Slytherin was filled with bad apples of all kinds. Now, Ravenclaw has slacked off and all blood types were welcome and accepted into Slytherin. Of course there would always be that little bit of prejudice between houses.

As Avan sat on that stool in front of thousands of Hogwarts students, he felt a moment of glory. The hat was placed on his head and it shouted out his father's house. Ravenclaw. He wasn't pleased with it but he was content that he didn't get something out of the family tree. The next couple of years went by rather quickly. Always being at the top of his class, Avan could be considered the outsider and nerd of Ravenclaw house. He didn't mind though. There were few people who understood him and he was rather content with that. He then could focus on studies and class. As he grew older, girls started to take notice in Avan, which was something all new to
the young male. He was always the victim of one night stands or the liars. He learned about the female quickly and decided to stay away from them for a while.

He has honors in Potions, Defence Against The Dark Arts, Care of Magical Creatures as well as Quidditch and Divination.
