I know that I have accepted a few 'special' creatures into Hogwarts this year and all I need is a count check done. After this, I will put up a list of special abilities and what it takes to be one.
So please fill out the form below in THIS thread and makes sure that it is filled out properly. Thank you.
( a n i m a g u s ) An Animagus can change into the form of an animal. The magic for this transformation is complicated and very advanced, and very few wizards even attempt it. When a wizard transforms into his or her animal form, some visual clue typically connects that form to the human. For example, McGonagall and Skeeter both wear glasses and their Animagi forms include marks around the eyes. See Animagi. Restricted to 6th years and older
( l e g i l i m e n s ) A Legilimens is a Wizard who has learned the art of Legilimency, sensing the thoughts of another person. Dumbledore and Snape are both experts at this form of magic. Voldemort is also an accomplished Legilimens. Restricted to 5th years and older
( m e t a m o r p h m a g u s ) Unlike some of the other types listed here, Metamorphmagi are born with the ability to change their appearance at will. Nymphadora Tonks is a Metamorphmagus. The word comes from the Greek prefex "meta-" connotating change, "morph" meaning "form," and "magus" meaning "wizard." Restricted to 4th years and older
( o c c l u m e n s ) The skill of Occlumency allows a person to block the efforts of a Legilimens to probe their thoughts and memories. A person who practiced that rare skill is called an Occlumens. Restricted to 5th years and older
( p a r s e l m o u t h ) The ability to speak the language of snakes and to command them is extremely rare. Any age - MUST PM ADMIN BEFORE APPLYING
( s e e r ) Another rare gift is the Inner Eye, the ability to prophesy. A wizard with this gift is called a Seer. Trelawney does have some small measure of this talent, but it has surfaced only twice that we know of. Any Age - MUST PM ADMIN BEFORE APPLYING
( v a m p i r e ) Vampires are studied in Defence Against the Dark Arts, but are not considered wizards. They are hated and feared by many and centaurs oppose them. Garlic may be used against them, although the methods of how are unclear. They may walk in sunlight, but are sensitive to it. Vampire are no longer allowed inside of Hogwarts. Restricted to Adults
( w e r e w o l f ) The werewolf is a most unusual creature in that it doesn't technically exist except for a brief period of time around the full moon. At any other time, a werewolf is a completely normal human. However, the term werewolf is used for both the wolf-like creature and the normal human. A werewolf comes into being when a person is bitten by another werewolf. Once this happens, the person must learn to manage the condition. Modern potion-making has come up with a draught called Wolfsbane Potion which controls some of the worst effects of the condition. Wolfsbane Potion is quite difficult to make, even for fully qualified wizards, and is said to have a rather disgusting taste. Nothing will completely cure a werewolf, unfortunately. This transformation is triggered when the moon is full, although there is some evidence that a werewolf who is taking a regular regimen of Wolfsbane Potion will not transform until the moonlight actually strikes him.
( v e e l a + h a l f ) Part bird, part human. They dance sensually to attract the attention of the opposite sex. They have raging tempers and often conjure fire from their hands and grow a beak and scaly wings. Restricted - MUST PM AN ADMINname. age and year or age and occupation. special ability. how your character obtained this ability. (this should be at least two paragraphs worth)

Post by ANTHEA RAYNE BLACK on Apr 14, 2011 10:43:20 GMT -6
name. Anthea Rayne Black age and year or age and occupation. Seventeen&7th Year special ability. Werewolf how your character obtained this ability. (Took this selection out of my character's biography.)
Caslia grasped her daughter's hand, dragging her behind her at a quick pace. Tears were pouring down her face. Her brother. He hadn't been heard from since Caslia left to marry her muggle husband. He had somehow found them, as if the stench of magic surrounding Caslia had forced his werewolf senses to track her in need for redemption. "Mommy..." Anthea gasped behind her, begging for a break as they hurried through the park but she had to ignore the small girl. Anthea and Caslia needed to be protected at home. Where her wand was. Where she could defend her family.
A deep chuckle was heard from behind them, forcing Anthea to jerk towards the sound and dig her heels in. "Mommy! It's Uncle Gabriel!." As if the small girl knew him. The twisted smile on his face was only one that an adult would recognize, not the innocent girl that he was tricking. "Anthea darling. Grazie. You did good telling me what you and your mommy were doing today."He cooed, his eyes sparkling with intent as he moved closer. Caslia dragged her daughter backwards. "Gabriel...Just leave. You know I promised not to return. I don't even carry the name." Valiento. A mostly pureblooded name, well-known in society as death-eaters when He-who-must-not-be-named was working. One that wasn't allowed to be shamed."But I did dear one. I told you i'd leave your muggle husband alive and your betraying daughter but I never said a word. about. you." he snapped, his voice turning cruel and sending instinctive shivers over Anthea's body.
"Gabriel plea-" She started to run again, picking Anthea up into her arms, her muscles straining under the weight. Gabriel was rushing after her. The full moon. It was that night. He was at his strongest, his most feared state. A startled, terrified scream was pitched into the air as a large body tackled Caslia to the ground. Anthea was knocked a few feet, crying out as her head hit the ground. Her small body dazed, weak for a few moments as the screams continued to fill the air. She slowly lifted her head, wincing but before screaming as she saw the wand pointing at her mother." Crucio!" Her uncle repeatedly screamed, watching his sister wither and scream under the spell. Anthea wobbled to her feet and rushed the man, slamming her small body into his with a yelp. He only chuckled, grasping the thin wrist and jerking her towards him. A sharp crack noting the now broken wrist. "You can watch what you caused Anthea. You murdered your mother, gave her up. You're a real valiento." He purred, flicking a grin at his pleading sister, who was already looking at death's edge, before with a roar slamming his teeth into the girl's left side directly over her heart.

Post by ROSE NICOLE WEASLEY on Apr 16, 2011 0:33:12 GMT -6
name. Rose Nicole Weasley age and year or age and occupation. 16 and sixth year special ability. Animagus how your character obtained this ability. Rose is very much like her mother in determination and learning new things. She almost always has her nose in a book, therefore it was only natural that Rose had come across the terminology of animagus. Upon reading what it was, Rose decided to talk to her parents about it, in order to get their thoughts and feelings on turning into an animal. Ron, her father, recalled back in his first year of school when Professor McGonagall transformed from a cat into a human, and how that essentially scared him. This admittance made Rose smile, thinking about what woudl happen if she turned into something right before her father's eyes. Rose then turned to her mother and asked the same question, her response was supportive, but warning as well. Hermione told her daughter that becoming an animagus was not something that most people even considered doing. It was, after all, extremely complicated magic.
The thought of complicated magic only intrigued Rose more. She thought long and hard about what it would be like to almost disappear of the face of the Earth for a short period of time. The thought, though Rose did not think that it would be necessary, brought a smile to her face. She then considered the thought some more. What would her form be? Would she be able to pick the animal that she would become, and then think really hard about it? Of course, these thoughts had formed in her mind before school even started. Rose was only seven years old when she first heard about animagus. She still had four years to go before she could research becoming an animagus without her parents full knowledge. Then, of course, four years later, Rose received her letter stating that she would indeed be going off to Hogwarts to study magic. Her determination about animagus returned, and she decided to spend some time in the school's library researching.
Of course, it was slightly strange for some people to see an 11-year-old girl researching such complicated magic. However, when people realised just who her mother was, they let it go a little bit. Given that her mother was Hermione Granger, a briliant witch of her time, people just assumed that Rose, like her mother, just wanted to absorb all the knowledge that she possibly could. Little did they know, she was actually considering learning how to become an animagus. Rose read up all about how your animagus form, according to the registered list, was the same form as your patronus. Since Rose had never performed a patronus herself, she still did not know what the form would be.She still tried to figure it out though. Rose also learned that your animagus form reflects your personality. Well, that at least was a little bit easier. Rose considered herself to be very gentle and caring. If that was true or not, well, she would have to ask someone else.
It was actually in her third year that Rose decided to attempt becoming an animal. She practiced many different things, thought long and hard about what she wanted to do, but nothing happened. She was alittle disappointed in herself, figuring that her mother and father were able to perform some pretty complicated spells by 13, at least in Rose's opinion they were complicated. However, disappointed or not, Rose did not stop trying. She was very determined to somehow transform herself into an animal.
The rest of her third and fourth year went by, with Rose practicing on her own. Then came her 5th year in school. This is where things started to happen for Rose. Having learned some mroe complicated magic, and further research, she began to understand better how to actually become an animagi. Her practice sessions intensified, and she began to feel, what she believed, to be changes. Rose became very excited, she felt like it was going to happen. At first Rose was only able to sprout little antenna on the top of her head. THis gradually improved, and she began to be able to sprout small wings on her back. The process was very slow going, but little by little Rose began to see improvements.
Suddenly, one day in the summer before her 6th year began, Rose actually completed the transformation. One minute she was a human girl, the next she was a butterfly. The transformation did not last very long that time, only a few seconds, but she did it. After that day the transformation became easier and easier, and she was able to hold it for much longer. Eventually Rose was able to just think about transforming, and it would happen. It was at that point that she recalled about having to registar your animagus form. Rose still had not actually seen herself transformed, and so she decided to go and find herself a reflective surface to look at. The closest thing was a small puddle near her house. Rose flew over the puddle, and admired herself in it. Her form seemed to be that of a monarch butterfly, though the wings were a slightly deeper red than normal, to accompany her red hair. If Rose was able to smile as a butterfly, you bet she would have been at that point.
After that experience Rose transformed back into her normal self, and ran back to her house to tell her parents about what she had done. Needless to say, both were quite shocked about their daughter's accomplishment. Rose was beaming with pride, laughign a little bit at the shock on her parent's faces. She then mentioned the small details about how an unregistered animagus could be sent to Azkaban if caught, and told her parents that seeing as she would like to finish school, she wanted to register. Once Ron and Hermione got over the shock, they agreed instantly, and took Rose to get registered. Rose does not spread around the school abotu being an animagus, and even some of her cousins do not know about it. Rose also does not transform very often, unless she actually wishes to disappear for a short period of time to get away from life.

Post by REESE MARCELLUS ZABINI on Apr 28, 2011 19:54:44 GMT -6
name. Reese Marcellus Zabini age and year or age and occupation. 17, 7th year special ability. Animagus how your character obtained this ability. The first time Reese had ever even heard about an Animagus was while in Transfiguration Class at Hogwarts one year when they began to learn about Human Transfiguration and how it differed from being an Animagus. Intrigued by the mere idea of being able to turn into an animal without the assistance of a wand whenever he wanted was quite exciting, and so Reese stayed after class to talk with the Transfiguration's professor in order to ask what steps needed to be taken in order to become an Animagus. Once told the path was very much difficult, Reese only began to take more of an intrest in it, just to show that he could actually conquer the difficult challenge of becoming an Animagus. Having just learned how to cast a full formed patronus, which took the form of a large lion, Reese felt as if he was ready to take on the challenge of becoming an animagus. Although made fun of a bit for having a lion (Gryffindor House symbol) for a patronus and being a Slytherin, Reese continued studying Animagi, and eventually figured that there was a connection between a wizard's patronus and the form he took as an animal. Learning that fact excited Reese tremendously to know that if he did master this ability, that he'd be able to take the form of a Lion.
When Reese actually began to put the theory he'd read in a book into practice on how to achieve animagus form, a few months had gone by, and he'd somehow gotten the Transfiguration's Professor to monitor him to make sure he was doing it right. By the time term was over, Reese had made progress according to the professor, and would need to continue doing just what he was doing over the summer in order to continue making progress, otherwise he'd lose it and wouldnt be any closer to becoming an animagus. Doing just that, Reese made sure to practice extra hard over the summer, finding himself loosing even more sleep than a normal teen would during the summer just to practice making that connection with his inner animal spirit and trying to actually become him. With summer gone and the next school year quickly passing, Reese would try again one night while he was relaxing in a bath in the Prefect's bathroom. With the Ghost Moaning Myrtle lurking in the bathroom that night trying to catch just who was there, she instead caught Reese but not in his human form, but instead of that of a Lion. Screaming, she left through the pipes of some toilet going back down to her bathroom on the second floor. Reese took that as a sign that he'd done it! Finding the nearest reflective surface, Reese took a look at himself. A Lion! He couldnt believe it. The next morning, after class, he showed the Transfigurations Prof. who told him that he must register his form with the Ministry, otherwise Zabini could end up in Azkaban. That summer, Reese talked to his father about taking him to the Ministry with him to work one morning so he could infact register. And so it was!
In animal form, instead of the traditional lion hair color, Reese's mane is of a black color to match his own hair and his fur is a few shades darker than that of an average lion for his skin color. (Think Scar from muggle movie The Lion King).
